A millimeter is one-thousandth of a meter, and a nanometer is one-billionth. Therefore, there are exactly 1,000,000 nanometers packed into every single millimeter. To translate a standard millimeter measurement into nanometers, you multiply by 1,000,000. I coded this engine individually to perform that million-fold operation cleanly.
