Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what data Master Converters collects, how we use it, and what rights you have. We keep it simple because our approach is simple: most tools run in your browser and we do not collect personal information.

Last updated:July 29, 2026  | Effective date: July 29, 2026

1. Who We Are

Master Converters (masterconverters.com) is a free online tool website created and maintained by the Master Converters Team. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Master Converters and its operator.

If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at contact@masterconverters.com or through our contact page.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect as little data as possible. Here is a clear breakdown:

Data we do NOT collect

  • We do not require user accounts, registration, or login
  • We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers through the tools
  • We do not store the values you enter into converters or calculators
  • We do not store the files you process with PDF tools (they run in your browser)
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information

Data we may collect automatically

  • Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) — this is standard for any website
  • Anonymous analytics data to understand which tools are used most and how to improve the site
  • Cookies set by third-party services (see Section 5 below)

3. Browser-Side Processing

Most tools on Master Converters run entirely in your browser. This means:

  • Unit converters calculate results using JavaScript in your browser — no server request is made
  • Hash generators (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, etc.) process text locally in your browser
  • Text tools (word counter, text compare, case converter, etc.) work locally with no data sent to our servers
  • Supported PDF actions (compress, rotate, watermark) use browser-side libraries where indicated on the tool page

When a tool requires external data (such as live market prices), the tool page clearly states the data source, provider, and refresh interval.

4. Live Market Data

Some tools (such as BTC to USD, gold price, and currency converters) fetch live price data from public third-party market data providers. When these tools refresh prices:

  • Your browser makes a request to the third-party data provider's API
  • The provider may receive your IP address as part of a standard HTTP request
  • We display the data source name and timestamp on the tool page
  • We do not control the third-party provider's data collection practices

For details on which providers we use, visit our data sources page.

5. Cookies and Advertising

Master Converters uses cookies and similar technologies in the following ways:

Essential cookies

We may use essential cookies to remember your preferences (such as recently used tools). These are necessary for the site to work properly.

Analytics cookies

We may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. These cookies collect anonymous information about page views, time spent, and navigation patterns.

Advertising cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Master Converters or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your browsing history.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

For more details about our cookie usage, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Third-Party Services

Master Converters may use the following third-party services:

  • Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements
  • Google Analytics — for anonymous website usage analytics
  • Third-party market data APIs — for live price data in market tools
  • Content delivery networks (CDNs) — for fast page loading worldwide
  • Google Fonts — for typography

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We do not control the data they collect.

7. Children's Privacy

Master Converters does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at contact@masterconverters.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)

9. Data Security

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. Since most tools run in your browser, data processing happens locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. We take reasonable measures to protect any data that is transmitted, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Master Converters after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
