Bridging the Biological and Geographic Gap
Converting an imperial goat carcass back to a metric live sheep equivalent requires two distinct mathematical steps happening in sequence in the background algorithm:
1. Imperial to Metric
First, the goat carcass (lbs) is divided by 2.20462 to convert it back into metric kilograms.
2. Reversing Yield
Next, that metric weight is divided by 0.45 to mathematically reverse the goat's 45% dressing ratio, arriving at the live animal's weight.
